Church Night

At Bethel we encourage everyone in the church to commit their Thursday evening to the church, if this is at all feasible. To put it another way, Thursday evening is committed for church use; Thursday night is Church Night.

Everyone then has a choice about how to use their Church Night:

(a) Series. The next few months of Series are mapped out and you choose which ones you want to opt in to. When appropriate there will be a choice between two Series at the same time. (This will help to keep the group sizes down to an optimum number, which encourages fellowship and gives greater variety to the subjects which we can look at and the style we use to approach the subject.) When you opt in, you opt in to the complete Series (as far as is possible).

(b) If you do not opt in to one of the Series you could give your Church Night to one of the following (or you may have ideas of your own): fellowship - with others who have not opted in hospitality - with those who you do not know so well visiting - those who are unable to get out in the evenings small group Bible study - with others who have not opted in (Martin W can suggest materials if you want help in this way).

(c) If you are unable to get out on a Thursday evening (through age or family needs etc) you may still be able to have a Church Night by writing to a missionary, ringing a brother or sister who needs fellowship, praying for the church etc.

We also have Missionary Meetings and Joint Meetings with other churches from time to time. Sometimes these will interrupt Series. We hope as many as possible will come to these.
